Guide for your business

Social media and your booking link: from follower to booking

By Moof3 min read

You post great photos of your work, people react enthusiastically, and then nothing happens. The problem is rarely your content. It's the distance between "I want that too" and a booked appointment. Make that distance as short as possible.

In short

Put your booking link in your Instagram bio, on your Facebook page and in your Google Business Profile. End posts with a concrete next step ("book via the link in our bio"), show free slots when you have them and track which posts lead to bookings. One clear link beats five.

One link, the same everywhere

Your booking link is your most important link. Put it where people look first: your Instagram bio, the button or website on your Facebook page, the appointment link in your Google Business Profile and your WhatsApp Business profile. Use the same one everywhere so clients recognise it. A link-in-bio page with ten buttons is usually unnecessary if people mostly come to book.

Google first

People searching for "hairdresser" or "physio" plus a town often land on Google Maps first, not on your Instagram. A complete Google Business Profile with opening hours, photos and your booking link is at least as important as your posts. Feel free to ask happy clients for a review; never make them up.

Posts that lead to a booking

  • End with a next step. "Fancy a balayage like this? Book via the link in our bio." Not: "What do you think?"
  • Show free slots. "Two places left on Saturday" in a story works better than yet another pretty photo.
  • Show how it works. A short video of a treatment takes away first-timer nerves.
  • Use an offer with an end. A discount code valid until Friday gives a reason to book now.

How often to post?

Consistency beats volume. Two good posts a week that you keep up do more than posting daily for a week and then nothing for a month. Plan your posts ahead at a quiet moment so you're not thinking up what to share between two clients.

Measure what works

After a month, see which posts coincided with extra bookings, and which days people book. That tells you more than likes. And simply ask new clients how they found you.

How to do it in mijnklant.vip

  • Your link, QR code and website button are under Settings, Your booking link. More: booking link for Instagram and Google.
  • The promotion designer makes images in your branding, ready for your feed.
  • With Pro you schedule a promo a month for Facebook and Instagram; the connection that actually posts is coming soon.
