When should you ask for payment upfront?

Not for every regular's haircut. But yes for long treatments, first appointments with new clients, workshops, shoots and anything you buy or prepare materials for. A deposit of 20 to 30% is usually enough: enough to make people take the appointment seriously, without putting them off.

How it works in mijnklant.vip

• You link your own Mollie account with your API key, which is stored encrypted.
• You choose: the full amount or a deposit of 10, 20, 25, 30 or 50%.
• The client pays when booking with Bancontact, card or Payconiq via Mollie.
• Anyone who doesn't pay within 30 minutes loses the slot. It becomes free for someone else.
• The appointment shows that it was paid online.

What does it cost?

Payments is a separate subscription of €9 per month, excl. VAT, available with any plan, including free Start. Mollie's transaction fees are paid directly to Mollie. You request Payments in the app; we then activate it for your business.
